# Grants

The grants are provided aiming to secure funding from the mpDAO treasury. Grants have a general objective of fostering growth for Meta Pool, with the following specific objectives:

* Education in DeFi/Blockchain.
* TVL generation.
* Brand Awareness.
* AI

Applying for a grant request community representatives to have a clear execution process and KPIs for their initiatives and should express their interest to the Meta Pool team.

### Grants when voting period is active

mpDAO members can vote for an active proposal of a grant if there is an active period.

Users should claim votes on [My Votes](/master/meta-pool-ecosystem/vote-governance/my-votes.md) section and later pick a proposal to be voted assigning its voting power.

Any amount of votes can be assigned to the proposal.
