Story Protocol
What is StakeIP
StakedIP ($stIP) is a liquid staking solution for Story Protocol. StakedIP lets users stake their IP tokens- without locking assets or maintaining infrastructure - whilst participating in on-chain activities, e.g. lending.
How does StakeIP ($stIP) work?
When staking with StakedIP, users receive stIP tokens representing their staked IP and earned maturity. stIP balances can be used like regular IP to earn yields and lending rewards, and represent your staked IP, and earned staking rewards.
How often are rewards distributed for IP staking?
The stIP/IP exchange rate is updated approximately every 48 hours.
Is there a maximum amount I can stake?
No, you can stake at your discretion, unlimited.
When at least 1024 IP are accumulated in the protocol in a day, Meta Pool will select a validator by performance to deposite all IP accumulated that will increase the rewards of the entire staking pool.
How can $stIP be converted to $IP?
If you go to "Delayed Unstake" in the stake section, you can begin withdrawing your $stIP. This will burn the $stIP, and begin unstaking the corresponding $IP from the a validator. This process will last 14 days. After this period withdrawals can be made.
Soon, $stIP holders may exchange their $stIP to $IP on liquidity pools, for faster conversion.
How long does it take to unstake my $stIP?
In Story Protocol we can only "Delayed-unstake". This option has no fee (zero fee), but you will need to wait min. 14 days to get your $IP. After that, you can claim your IP using the Withdraw button.
You will need a small amount of $IP tokens to confirm transactions.
Can I make a delayed unstake if I have already made one?
Yes, you can have up to 4 Delayed Unstake pending simultaneously.
How do I receive rewards?
By staking $IP you receive $stIP that increases its value according to the rewards obtained by Meta Pool validators.
Rewads: the price of $stIP increases with an "estimated increase" in projected earnings. Every 48 hours is set to the actual value.
How soon after staking will I begin to receive rewards?
In Meta Pool, rewards start immediately after staking. Once you stake you will be able to see how the valuation of your $stIP increases.
$stIP rewards are built into the token. Effectively, your rewards accumulate all the time as $stIP grows in value to $IP.
Does Meta Pool charge for the service?
Meta Pool takes a 2% protocol fee from the staking reward to cover for the provided services and operations.
That means the users receive 98% of the staking rewards returned by the networks.
The first few months (6 months) Meta Pool will reinvest all Protocol Fees back into the community.
What is $stIP token?
$stIP token means staked IP token, representing your share of the MetaPool stake in the Story Protocol Network. After staking, you can use your $stIP in other markets while still earning rewards (coming soon).
Each day, the $stIP tokens price will increase as staking-rewards are added to the pool. $stIP tokens price will always increase as long as there are staking rewards.
$stIP token is a perfect collateral asset in the Story Protocol ecosystem, because its price increments every epoch measured in $IP.
Is it secure to hold $stIP?
Yes. Meta Pool is audited by Nevermind and tested by an internal team.
The Meta Pool’s team has put a high effort on security for the $stIP's smart contract.
Soon will be audited by Blocksec too.
How can I show the $stIP token in my IP wallet?
Go to the Dashboard section.
Select the three dots button.
Click on: add Token. Follow the instructions.
How Meta Pool chooses the validator to deposit the $IP?
Meta Pool selects a validator by performance to deposite all IP accumulated every day that will increase the rewards of the entire staking pool.
Where can I see my portfolio of $stIPs?
You can go to the Dashboard section, there select the Story Protocol subsection. There you can see the amount of IPs and stIPs that you have on your wallet.
You will also be able to view the Delayed Unstake pending and the Withdrawals pending.
