# Migration: $META to mpDAO (Historical 2024)

Historical (2024) — $META to mpDAO migration

### **Points to consider before migrating from $META to mpDAO.**

1. To start the migration, you needed your ***NEAR wallet connected***.
2. You needed ***all your positions locked***. Positions in Unlock blocked migration.
3. You needed to ensure you ***did not have any position in Withdraw***. Withdraw positions did not block migration, but left $META in the wallet that could not be migrated.
4. ***Lock all your $META tokens*** before migrating. Unlocked $META in the wallet could not be migrated with that wallet.

### **How the mpDAO migration worked**

#### **1) Access the migration page**

Users clicked the banner "Start Migration Now" button.

Or clicked Migrate Now in the Header.

#### **2) Connect your NEAR wallet**

#### **3) Migrate Now**

The UI showed a message with a button indicating: Migrate now.

Very important: verify before migrating that you have no pending Withdraw positions, and that all your $META are locked. Once you perform the migration, it will not be possible to perform a new Migration with $META pending to be locked.

If when you press "Migrate now" and you get this message, it means that you have positions in the process of unlocking. In order to migrate, you must relock those positions.

#### 4) Approve the transaction

#### 5) Migration successful

### Voting Power
